Lo Unix standard del settore per raggruppare i computer (host) basato sul nome di dominio NIS e nome host. Netgroup possono essere definiti sia su un server NIS (UNIX) o su un server LDAP (ad esempio Active Directory) che sono chiamati netgroup fonti.
